Day 54: Trees!

Today I started work on plants and stuff for the environment. I made the land/set for the shot, I then made some grass and trees. I got a bit left to do for it but I am getting there.

Day 53: Green everywhere

Today I worked on fixing my layout. Painting it. I really want to be sure of the look I am going for before I finish modeling the environment. So far I am pretty happy with it. Will be dif from the final 3d environment but close enough.

Day 51: I fold


Today I sculpted around 10 items, 2 eyebrows (1 for each character to later be duplicated.) and 4 pieces of clothing on character 1 and 4 on character 2. Was a lot of work, might need to make some fix ups. but was in a rush to remain on schedule. Will fix up a bit later.

Today was a holiday. I basically did a bit of sculpting and worked on layout idea.

Day 49: Bare Skinned.

Today I edited the torso of Character 2 to make the muscles more subltle, thanks to my tutors for helping with that. I also added skin texture and skin paint. I will go back and fix up the textures when I enter the texturing stage. All I have left to sculpt is clothes.

Day 48: Fuck ups fixing.

Today I had to fix a heap of mistakes with some UVs and prep for sculpting the clothing. I also edited the torso a little with tutors help. Still working on it. Tomorrow I will try and get 1 characters clothing done and  both characters completely finished sculpting.

Day 47: Sculpted Muscles.

Today I just spent time sculpting the muscles for Character 2. Character 1 wont need to be sculpted because most of this body is hidden beneath  Armour. But character 2 is topless and needs to be well sculpted.




Day 46: Defining the Shape.

Been working on defining the shape of the characters torso. I want the body to have muscle definition but still be relatively simple. Sp mainly just going for the basic shapes of muscle.

Day 44: Unwrap and more Clothing.

Today I unwrapped the boys clothes and worked on Character 2 Clothing. I am still a bit ill, but I am working and trying to get things done.

Day 43: So shinny.

So today I worked on the armour and clothing for character 1. I have finished it, just need to unwrap and sculpt it. Tomorrow will be character 2 clothing and unwrapping it all.


Day 42: Suit up!

Today I worked on modeling the clothing for my characters. Getting the suit to fit. Will need some work still but I am just getting the basics of the suit sorted. Will have both characters clothing done by the end of tomorrow. :D

After clothes are modeled I have to sculpt the characters and clothing. Then its just adding Hair and modeling and sculpting the environment models and sculpting the props. Then I can move onto texturing/lighting. So while it looks like I have a lot to do still, I am actually at a good place. I should be able to finish on time.

Day 41: Clothing Time

Scaling and clothing time. I also have got a major cold (I had it last week too, but I kinda forced myself to go in last week anyway, and I am afraid I am paying for that now) 

Anyway. My models are naked. Oh no! So today I decided to start on the clothing. I brought my models in though, and noticed their heads etc were a bit off. So I did some scaling to help and make it look better. Now I am working on the boys armour.

Tomorrow I will be working on that again.

Day 40: Getting attached.

Today I just attached the heads to their bodies. I got to work on their topology and unwrapping a bit more, get my tutor to help with scaling. Then I can take them into mudbox and clean them up. With sculpting is done I can do the clothes and hair and move onto environment. Hoping to have all the models done by the end of next week.

Day 39: Cleaning up his face.

Today I fixed more issues with my models based on information from my tutor. Fixed nose and back of head, and fixed some eye issues etc. I still need to do a little bit more with it to get it perfect. But I am getting happier with it. :D

Day 38: Sick

Got to work on fixing up the models based on information my tutor gave me. Got the boys eyes and ear/jawline more correct. Wasn't the most productive day, I was feeling ill.

Day 37: 2 heads are better than 1!

So today I took my model of Character 1 Head and unwrapped it. I then duplicated it and sculpted a second bigger more square head for character 2. They both need a bit of work, I will prob do that in mudbox. I just need to attack the heads and make sure the UVS match up before exporting into mudbox for sculpting. By the start of next week I should have 2 finished character bodies and I can start on the clothes.

Day 36: Half Life

So I got to modeling my characters insides, teeth, eyes, tongue etc.
I also did the eyelids and changed the lips. Just have to unwrap and attach to body and that is 1 character done. I still have to edit it to make the second head though. Good progress today!
