Day 32: Home working.

So I was feeling off yesterday and today. But I got a lot of work done yesterday and a little today. I just touched up my models, made sure they were correctly unwrapped and shape is correct. So a little work but I plan on doing a lot tomorrow when I go into class :) so far I am happy with my progress.

Day 31: Big Body, Lil Body, Every Body!

:P So big body is done, did a few more touch-ups. I then duplicated it and made a slim version that is shorted and less defined for the boyish character in my scene. He is pre-unwrapped. Both are ready for sculpting in mudbox. I also have to do the heads, clothes, and hair for the characters before I move onto environment models.

Day 30: Buff Body

Today I worked on finished the Muscular Body type for the Spirit like character. :) I have also unwrapped it. Tomorrow  will duplicate it to make the slimmer shorter Body type.

Day 29: Driving me crazy -.-

UNWRAPPING! Grrr. Took around 12 hours but finally got my bike unwrapped well enough for texturing later on. I also put some shaders on as a place holder.

Day 28: Shading and Unwrapping.

Today I decided to get the shading and unwrapping of my props done. Today I did the Helmet. The Shading is just place holders for when I start texturing.

Day 27: Body Building :P

Worked on more of the body shape and attached some parts and imported the hand.

Day 26: Handy Dandy.

 Today I begun work on my hand model. I wanted it to be as detailed as possible while remaining lowpoly.
I am not going for a low poly model, but I want it to be low poly in this shaping stage.

Day 25: He is a model citizen.

Today I have been modeling my first character. Got the basics down. Nothing much to say about it. Did the leg, body, arm and foot. Got to do the hand then edit them to add more detail and define the shape before making the 1st characters head. As I mentioned I will be using this one body for both characters, editing it for the two body types I need. Should be less time consuming them making two sep models.

Day 24: Back from the Holidays!

So last week I didn't blog because it was the holidays, but I did a lot of work on my project and I did come in last Friday.

I did around 8-12 hours of modeling per day over the holidays, and so I finished my Bike model and Helmet model. Just got to do characters now, which I am planning on making one body model, and then duplicating it and editing it so I have the two body types that I need. Then working on face and clothes. So should be fun.

Day 23: Weekend Working.

This weekend I have worked a bit on modeling props. I also finished my character sheets (They might need some editing later on but should be good enough for me to start on modeling characters on Monday)

I also did a quick environment concept. I will do a few more before I finalize my environment design.

Day 22: Characters need to get clean...

So today I worked on cleaning up my drawings of my character and I did a quick design of environment. I am just going to do more environment stuff and the character turnarounds this weekend but if I get time I will try and get the helmet modeled. I am hoping to have everything modeled by the 21st. And then sculpting and unwrapping and finish that by October. Then environment modeling

Day 21: Raining outside.

So, today...well to be honest I haven't done much today. Been feeling abit off today. Prob going to go home and work there, do some environment stuff. Tomorrow finish model sheets and final drawings for characters. Over weekend finish environment design and character sketches, Will also work on modeling props.

Day 20: Helmet Hair!

Today I have been continuing the helmet. I am pretty happy with the helmet, I might make some changes later but for now I am done with its design. Now I just have to finish the character turnarounds and do an environment drawing and I am ready to more. Yay.

Day 19: Sweet Ride.

Today I am working on Helmet prop. I have worked on colourkeys for the bike and turnaround is done. Just Helmet to do, turnaround for characters, and an environment design. Once those are done I will begin modeling.

I really like the bottom two colours.

I also did some more work on Helmet later today, making some progress in design and colourkeys.

I like the bottom left and top right colours.

Day 18: Hover over the red line...

So today I was working on bike design again, refining it and doing the turn-arounds for it. just got to do colour designs for it tonight.

I still have to do the helmet tomorrow. As well as finish final designs and turn-arounds for main character on Wednesday. Then just the Environment design and I am done. I can then focus on the modeling over the weekend. :)

Day 17: I like to ride my bicycle...

Today I worked on thumbnails for my Second Prop, a Futuristic but old looking hover Bike. I also started a design for it.

Then I worked on making a list of all the pictures I used on my mood board.

I am a little behind. but by next Monday (14th) I should have everything design related done and the props basically modeled ready for sculpting. So next Monday (14th) I will begin modeling the characters and environment, hopefully having that done in 2 weeks or so by working from home and late night, leaving me with around 7 weeks to sculpt and texture/render everything.
The reason I am behind is because my tablet is broken so I can't draw at home and so I need to borrow the Cinteq or a classmates tablet and I am not always able to do that so I get set back. Its a hassle but I will make back the time. Unlike others, I am modeling two humanoid characters, so recycling body parts from one model to another is easier and can just edit, in the long run will same time.

Day 16: Tidy up.

Today I just cleaned up one of the characters for final design. I didn't get much done, a few helmet designs and looked at some bikes online for second prop idea. So I have to design for bike and colour keys. And do Helmet thumbnails and designs etc. Also Turn-Arounds for both. Hoping to do that tomorrow so over weekend I can model both props. Then next week I will do Finish both character designs and model sheets and start modeling them as well as quick environment designs. By end of next week I should have both props modeled in maya, all designs done and paper work done so I can just focus on modeling and texturing/rendering for rest of project.

Day 15: Paperwork DX

Today I finished a lot of my paper work for the project. Moodboard stuff, backstory, character biography etc etc. I just have a few drawings to go and then I am done and can start modeling. I see a lot of the others have started, even almost finished their models. But I am not so worried, I am pretty fast at modeling so will catch up.
